Olympus Has Fallen[]
As such, he was present in the White House during the diplomatic meeting between Asher and South Korean Prime Minister Lee Tae-Woo. When the White House was attacked by North Korean terrorists, Rodriguez was among those rushed to the Presidential Bunker for safety.
Once inside the bunker, Lee's aide Kang Yeonsak revealed himself as the true mastermind behind the attack. Then Kang and his men, including former Secret Service agent Dave Forbes, took everyone hostage, including Rodriguez. Forbes moved the Vice President to the side of the control room with the other hostages.
With both the President and Vice President out of action, Speaker of the House Allan Trumbull became Acting President. He approved a SEAL incursion to try and end the White House crisis.
However, the terrorists used the Hydra 6 weapon to blast the SEAL's out of the sky. In retaliation for the attempted assault, Kang revealed Rodriguez in front of the camera connecting him to the situation room at the Pentagon, where Trumbull and his advisors were watching. Kang remarked that the incursion was a very foolish move before shooting Rodriguez in the back of the head, much to everyone's horror. However, he was avenged by Mike Banning when he killed Kang and the remaining terrorists in the bunker, also saving Asher.
