Somerset House is a large Neoclassical building situated on the south side of the Strand in central London, overlooking the River Thames, just east of Waterloo Bridge. The building, originally the site of a Tudor palace, was designed by Sir William Chambers in 1776, and further extended with Victorian wings to the east and west in 1831 and 1856 respectively. The East Wing forms part of the adjacent Strand campus of King's College London.

It was one of the settings of London Has Fallen.

London Has FallenEdit

Somerset House was the place where U.S. President Benjamin Asher could land Marine One and the other helicopters in after he arrived in London Stansted Airport to attend the funeral of British Prime Minister James Wilson. After the helicopters landed in the courtyard of Somerset House, Asher, along with Secret Service director Lynne Jacobs, Agent Mike Banning and other Secret Service agents, left the choppers and went to the motorcade that will take them to St. Paul's Cathedral. The motorcade took off from the Somerset House to head to the cathedral.

After the terrorist attacks that devastated London and five attending world leaders we're assassinated, Banning took Asher and Jacobs back to Somerset House to get to the choppers. Once they arrived in the damaged Land Rover, Banning got Asher and Jacobs to Marine One. All three of the helicopters took off from Somerset House to head back to Stansted Airport where Air Force One landed.
